Ravanasura Telugu Movie Review: A Decent Thriller with Some Shortcomings
Ravanasura is an action thriller directed by Sudheer Varma and starring Ravi Teja, Sushanth, Anu Emmanuel, Faria Abdullah, Megha Akash, and others. The movie revolves around a junior lawyer, Ravindra, who falls for Harika, the daughter of an accused murderer. The police discover that the murders follow a pattern, but how are the victims connected, and what is the killer’s motive? Let’s dive into the review to see if the movie lives up to its hype.
The Acting and Direction
Ravi Teja delivers an excellent performance as Ravindra, the junior lawyer with a grey-shaded role. He brings depth and conviction to his character, making it a feast for his fans. Sushanth also does a commendable job, and the female cast members all do justice to their respective roles. Director Sudheer Varma does a good job with the first half of the movie, keeping the audience engaged with a decent blend of comedy and thriller elements.

The Plot and Twists
The movie’s plot is intriguing, with a good mix of crime and suspense. However, the actual twist in the second half of the movie turns out to be pretty routine and predictable, failing to live up to the hype created before its release. The tempo in the second half also reduces, and the songs act as speed breakers, affecting the movie’s flow.
Technical Aspects
The background score by Harshavardhan Rameshwar and Bheems Ceciroleo is excellent, elevating some of the scenes. The cinematography by Vijay Karthik Kannan is splendid, doing justice to the movie’s genre. The editing is fine, and the production values are neat.
Verdict
Ravanasura is a decent thriller that relies heavily on Ravi Teja’s performance. The first half of the movie keeps the audience invested, but the second half’s execution is underwhelming, and the key twist disappoints. Although the movie has some shortcomings, it is still worth a watch for Ravi Teja’s performance and the overall plot.
