Disqualification of Congressman Rahul Gandhi and Response of Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Udhav Thackeray
Disqualification of Rahul Gandhi by Lok Sabha Secretariat
The Lok Sabha Secretariat has disqualified Rahul Gandhi, the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, from his position. In response to this, Rahul stated to the media, “My name is not Saverker (Savarkar).. Gandhi..! Not an apologetic family commented on mine.”
Udhav Thackeray’s Response to Rahul’s Comments
Udhav Thackeray, the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, has responded to Rahul’s comments, stating that it is inappropriate to speak up to demean the souvenir. He added, “Sowerker inspires us in terms of Hindutva theories. We think of it as divine. Don’t insult the souvenir. Sauer, 14, has been tortured for 14 years in the Andaman cellular jail. It is a replica of sacrifice. We cannot bear to insult such a sovereign. We are ready to fight the Sovereign case.”
Thackeray’s Warning Against Objectionable Comments
Thackeray warned that making objectionable comments about Savarkar would jeopardize the split in the partisan alliance. He said, “I want to say one to Rahul Gandhi. For the sake of democratic protection, we have teamed up with Congress and the NCP. We need to work united. Make no statements and comments that create splits. They are trying to deliberately provoke (BJP). Don’t waste time thinking about things like this. We have to fight together to defend democracy. If we lose this time.. Udhav Thakre said that our country will definitely go towards totalitarianism.”
